Our Beginning
Founded in San Ramon, California, A Scientific Pest Control grew out of one technician’s frustration with the way the pest control industry operated. Too many companies relied on a one-size-fits-all approach – spray everywhere, hope for the best, and move on to the next job. Greg, our founder, believed there was a better way.
With years of hands-on experience in the field and a deep understanding of pest biology, Greg set out to build a pest control company that treated every infestation as a problem to be solved, not just a surface to be sprayed. The name says it all. “A Scientific” is not a marketing tagline. It reflects how we work – identifying species, studying behavior patterns, locating entry points, and applying targeted treatments that eliminate pests at the source.
Starting With What We Knew Best
Our first service offering centered on Integrated Pest Management for homes across the San Ramon area. Rather than relying on heavy chemical applications, we combined inspection, monitoring, exclusion, and targeted treatment into a single structured process. Homeowners quickly noticed the difference. Treatments lasted longer. Callbacks dropped. And word spread through the neighborhoods of Contra Costa County that there was a pest control company doing things differently.
Those early residential jobs taught us something important: every property has its own pest pressures, and the only way to solve them is to understand the environment before reaching for a product. That principle still drives every service call we make today.
